We are really looking forward to our very unusual gig today. Rarely does a band have a whole lot of top professional drummers sitting in. The details are:
On Monday 27 July each of the following drummers will sit in with Van the Band. Special guest John Verity (Argent, Phoenix). Entrance is £10 on the door.
Great for drummers (and those mesmerised by them)! Why not ask one or more of these drummers about his kit and technique.
This is part of a week long 'The Ultimate Drum Experience" organised by Mike Dolbear in partnership with Vic Firth
The prestigious event, in association with Drummer magazine, runs for 5 days from Monday 27th till Friday 31st July 2009. This is an intensive summer course designed for advanced drummers and teachers which brings together for the very first time Steve Smith, Ralph Salmins, and Craig Blundell as resident teachers.
They will be supported by special guest teachers including Jason Bowld, Vic Firth, Stanton Moore and Mike Dolbear, with more to be confirmed.
