Fantastic Area 52 on Fri 16th May 08

'Fantastic' 'Brilliant' ' 'Amazing' 'Out of this world' 'The best live band I have seen for many a year' ...... These were just some of the comments made when Area 52 , one of the most professional 10 piece function bands in the South West played at Woodroffe School ,Lyme Regis ,on the 16th May 2008.

Having previously seen Area 52 , this band just keep on 'hitting the mark 100%'. Subtly booted and suited, the line up of 3 vocalists, bass, drums, and keys plus the horn section , which it should be noted excelled on every number, suggested that this was obviously going to be a night to remember. Audience participation and interaction with the band were encouraged by the lead vocalist, the floor was filled to capacity as people rocked the night away, some left unable to wear their shoes , others were to exhausted to walk home and were ordering Taxis, need I say more ...

The first set was excellent , the second set surpassed the expectations of myself and others, blasting out number such as ' Walking on Sunshine' 'Son of a Preacher man' 'Try a little Tenderness' and 'Brown Sugar' what can you say ? In a few words ... Area 52 'pack a punch which will leave you breathless ...... and wanting more!
