World Tree Music moves from a cool rippling stream of sound to a raging torrent of energetic rhythms and is topped with a voice like burnished crystal.
Gretchen is "The Voice" (Lead vocal, lyrics and melodies), John (Composition/Arrangements, Guitar and Keyboard/virtual instruments and backup Vocals)) & John Howitt (Basses and guitars), Pete Lowe (Flute, Alto Flute and Soprano Sax), Nigel Durban (Drum Kit, percussion and Bodhran) and Lizzie Stephens (Keyboards, digital orchestra, synthesiser and backing vocals).
An original fusion of Gnostic folk, classical and ethnic overtones. Acoustic, electronic, sometimes 'electric', sometimes ambient.
