Under new management since December 2007, the Zephyr Bar is evolving into something special. It is in the process of a refurbishment which will make it a great place to relax and enjoy live music. In the mean time, there is an exciting programme of live bands every Friday night from 9:30pm until midnight.

 what a fantastic night who all the old songs ran ging from gensis to buster. The man was phil himself ! and what a double act with the gorilla too , class. The staff in zephyrs or shall i say the new ex4 [ by the way is a brilliant name] worked hard to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves. Rob sang to perfection songs like against all odds ,in the air 2night & easy lover with so much energy and he will definately be singing in the longbrook next year . The gorilla himself did a brilliant job of entertaining us all until he took his mask off to reveal his face, what a sight! well done everyone involved in a great night | |

 What can I say, had never heard of or seen this band before 04/04. Just happened to be passing The Zephyr Bar when I caught some awesome tunes and went in for a look see, ended up staying the rest of the evening. Not often you get a chance to hear local live music in the city centre. The band played some excellent rock covers, such as Carry On My Wayward Son and Pearl Jam's Alive, which you don't tend to hear other bands do. They also had some brilliant originals with fab lyrics and guitar solos.
I will make a point of seeing them at BMAD and look forward to them hopefully playing in Exeter again soon.
Don't let the fact that they all look young, they certain sing and play like they've been on the scene for years.

  These guys look like a rock band and play like a rock band, nice 'n' loud. I walked into Zephyr's just as the melodic tones of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" filled the room. A thunderous applause for the guitar player at the end of the song after a note perfect solo! The rest of the night just got better and better, climaxing with Led Zep's "Rock n Roll" and an awesome version of the Foo Fighters' "Pretender". If you haven't seen this band yet, go and see them, you won't be disappointed. | |

Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
