Bar None [Rock / Pop]
Just seen Bar None and I have to say they do just what it says on the tin. They play dance music all night long. I've seen them before, they just keep getting better and better and are now a really tight outfit, good arrangements and a really nice sound. Their singer is a real pro. On the night someone had too much to drink and fell onto the stage. She helped him up with a smile and didn't miss a beat. Some really nice guitar and a rock solid rhythm section but their strongest feature is their set list, it's pretty much a party all the way through and a good mix of songs all delivered with enthusiasm. Catch them if you can.Monday 26 November 2018
Thank you for your wonderful review Phil. We select our songs and set list carefully to ensure that the audience is kept on their toes!
We love it when we are playing to a happy crowd, dancing and singing along with us.
You are totally correct about Louise. She is a star - professional and engaging and the best front person a band could have.
It would be nice to get you guys back on our stage
I saw Bar None at the Victoria Gate tonight. What a great variety of songs this lot play. The band exude enthusiasm and deliver their set in a professional way and won over a very hard crowd.
The drums and bass are tight, vocals are strong and the guitars are spot on,in fact I believe it was the first gig for one of the guitarists ! Can't wait to see you at The Vintage in Wellington. My only criticism is that there wasn't enough cowbell !Friday 16 November 2018
Thank you for your great review. We try to play a wide variety of styles of music and, so far, it seems to go down well.
You are correct that this was John’s first gig with us and he did a terrific job..
We hope to see you at The Vintage. Come up and say hi!
I went to the Lamb & Flag on August Bank Holiday Monday and by sheer chance saw Bar None who were playing in the beer garden.
What a terrific band - they played a variety of fast paced songs and were really entertaining. Musicality, vibe, connection with the audience - they had it all.
Go and see them play. It'll be worth the drive!Friday 21 September 2018
Thanks for the great review. We really enjoy playing and linking with our audiences.
We hope to see you again at a future gig!!
Hi i am the organiser of Music In The Valley and deal with the music line up for this small community event i look for local bands
I came across Bar None a couple of years ago and thought they had a good sound and performed there cover songs of 80s 90s
00 very well so i asked for a contact number
Two years later they took to the stage with a different personal line up and new lead singer and [ WOW] what a difference
the new lady lead singer has fantastic stage presence and vocals and will defiantly get the party rocking .
Back next year and thats a first for MITV thank you guys PhilThursday 28 June 2018
Thank you for your terrific review Phil. You and Jon have developed a gem of an event that is truly by the locals and for the locals, with all funds raised going to local charities.
Everything was organised and sorted. Your scaffolding stage was brilliant - Michael Eavis couldn't have done it better!
We really enjoyed the gig, and judging by the response, so did the audience. Also, thank you for booking us to play again next year.
Roll on MITV2019!!
A very enjoyable afternoon, very good music, got everyone up dancing.
Will definitely use Bar None again!Thursday 7 June 2018
Thanks for your super review Emma.
We certainly enjoyed the gig, and the rest of the afternoon too!
There’s nothing better than playing for an appreciative audience.
