I played in a barn!9 Jun 2015I played in a barn! Yes, indeed-ee! My first performance in a barn (if you don't include the time I snuck away into the one on my brother's farm in Canada to do some recording on my own). The event was hosted by Bluebird Acoustic Cafe and was part of the Open Barn Sunday event. There were a lot of people queuing up for burgers .... right next to where the cows were.I wonder if they noticed?
So - that was May then!28 May 2015So - that was May then! So - May has come and (almost) gone and it's been a good one!I had a great time at the Crossways Cider and Beer Fest - the first of what is hoped to be an annual event. The most memorable part was eating a burger that had enough English mustard on it to put down a moose ... but I survived with the help of a few pints of this or that. Two weeks later saw me at Early Doors (the Cider Barn) where .... needless to say .... I drank some cider and very good it was, too!A debut performance in Taunton followed at the Winchester Arms; this place has a wonderful atmosphere but needed a few more people to breathe it in. The guy behind the bar was eager to tell me that the first gig he ever attended was David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust tour which made me fairly jealous (except that it meant that I'm younger than him which made me feel better).Last Sunday saw my third time at the Horse and Groom in Westbury with a return expected in August. And - oh yeah - Cameron got in with a majority whilst winning only 35% of the vote. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.Have a nice June, eh!
