The Bob Villains [Bob Dylan Tribute Band, 4 piece]

Gary and band, Great gig at Oddfellows, Apsley.
Truly amazing that when you closed your eyes,
you felt Bob was singing himself.
And it was clear to see by all the love and passion you have for Bob's music.
Great singing and musicians.
I love the way you style your gig/show Gary,
going through the time and period Bob wrote his song and when he 1st played it.
Giving more insight to Bob.
The Oddfellows pub, a beautiful and homily venue for good music,
run by the nice landlord's Brett and Kim.
Again, Gary, a gentleman, cant wait to see the next gig.
And best of luck with your stage project of Bob in Weir.
Thanks Aidan.

Only caught a few songs as our friend was ill, but brilliant as always.

Tuesday 23 October 2012Thanks - hope your friend gets well, hope to see you again!

I think word is getting round about you guys and the place was pretty much full again for another fine collection of Dylan songs. Great vocals again Gary, you always seem to deliver the songs as good as anyone possibly can barring Dylan of course! Well maybe that's not right since Dylan's voice is a little inconsistent at times. We missed the violin, hopefully next time, really makes a difference to some of the songs. Special request how about Everything is Broken a song for the bankers! And Sad Eyed Lady for me, always liked that song and maybe get Joan Baez to duet, the girl was good I thought. Also like Jack Of Hearts, well the list of great songs just goes on doesn't it really too many to choose from. Keep up the good work, I guess me and the wife are part of your fan club now.

Saturday 7 March 2009Thanks!

I stumbled across this gig by accident, and what an accident! I've always loved Dylan's music and this band interpret it with great style and an obvious deep respect for the source material. Being a guitarist myself (sort of) I particularly loved the subtle and tasteful way that sinuous Telecaster licks weaved around the vocals, enhancing them without ever being a distraction.
I had a great evening. Their next St Albans gig is in my diary.

First time seen, thought it was all great stuff. Especially liked the rendition of Hurricane and Mr Tamborine Man and Girl from the North Country. If like me you love Dylan songs then this is the band for you.
