Bishop's Stortford Social Club, Bishop's Stortford [Social Club]

I only went into the Bishop Stortford Social Club on Saturday 23 April for a quick drink and wasn't particularly interested in any music, but this band were so enjoyable and energetic with such a varied set list, that I stayed all evening!
The lady on lead vocals and harmonica had an incredible voice with a great personality too. She sang anything from Tina Turner through to AC/DC's 'Shook Me All Night Long' and 'Whole Lotta Rosie'; Guns N' Roses, 'Paradise City' and
'Sweet Child Of Mine' and Led Zep!
Super lead guitarist, especially on Hendrix 'Purple Haze' and 'All Along The Watchtower'; ZZ Top's, 'Cheap Sunglasses' and Thin Lizzy songs. Most amazing was the version of 'Freebird' which absolutely blew me away!
With the bass player pumping it out and jumping around and with the drummer that really rocked, it was - all in all - a great package.
Some bands look bored when they're on stage and just going through the motions but there was none of that on this night. The whole band looked like they were enjoying themselves and this, in turn, affected the audience. Add to this high quality sound and you can be sure everyone there had a excellent evening's entertainment.
My advice: watch out for the Haunting AD!
