WE ARE THE C80s!

Once upon a time, music was made by musicians instead of machines. In the heat of the clubs, gigantic hair bounced and outrageous goth makeup ran as the children of the eighties danced the night away to music from the Psychedelic Furs, Blondie, Talking Heads, Simple Minds and The Jam. The Soviet Union was still a threat, Greenham Common featured on the nightly news and all the cool kids hocked themselves up to the hilt to buy an XR3i. It was a fun and carefree time.

Welcome to our world. We’re an Edinburgh band dedicated to keeping alive the music that lightened the Thatcher years. We were there back in the day, blagging our under-age way into clubs, buying the vinyl, renting Betamax videos, shopping at C&A, eating at Wimpy and watching the launch of Channel 4.

If you remember all those, we’re the band for you. We’re keeping the memory of your best years alive by playing the great songs from the 1980s to take you back to a simpler and happier era.

We have our own lights and PA, and we’re an MU member. Contact us and let us transport you to a time when indie, alternative and post-punk music ruled the airwaves. Because this is who we are and that is what we do.
