!daft! Cover Band [Rock & Pop Covers, 4 piece]

I have waited a long time for this band to return to my local area. One of us has to move as they are brilliant. The energy and delivery from the whole band is 1st class. The manner in which the lead singer interacts with the audience is unique. They take standard classics and unusual choices (ABBA Does Your Mother Know) and execute with such gusto. The lead singers range is fantastic. I am truly lost for words how to describe these guys that will encourage your attendance at their next "local" gig. For a guaranteed evening of pleasure these are a must. All the standard tracks you would expect and then a bunch of hits that are not normally covered, and even if they are, no where near as well. "I Love You Baby" - if you were there you would know exactly what I mean. If you are not entirely satisfied price of admission refunded - if you do enjoy yourself though (and you will), go out of your way to book them for your next social event.

Sunday 24 February 2013What a nice few things to say there! Many thanks Anthony!

Simply The Best - not the Tina Turner track although I bet they could do a great version but a tribute to a wonderful band for a great evenings entertainment. I have seen many pub bands over the last few years and a few deserve the time to applaud their efforts. Daft deserve a lot of words and all in praise of their talent. Average songs made to sound brilliant. Anyone who can take an Andy Williams track and get the whole pub dancing and singing along tells you just how special these guys are. High energy and great renditions of classics and unusual tracks. I certainly will be seeing them again. Final note to let you know how good they are - see Co-Jones ( a firm favourite of mine) and see these guys and you will realise just how much local talent there is and how awkward it is going to be for me to chose if these 2 bands are performing on the same night at different venues. The Horns btw is a first rate venue to listen and dance to music at.

Sunday 4 November 2012Hi Anthony! That's a really nice and well said bit of feedback there, thanks very much for taking the time to send it in. I will also pop it on our facebook page at www.facebook.com/daftcoverband if that's cool. A total pleasure to play for you and really glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!

Hi Guys, I just want to thank you for making my friends wedding party the BEST and for giving them a most fantastic rocking night that they so deserved. I have never seen so many people rocking at a wedding, it was awesome and only eclipsed by hours of the Bride and Grooms air guitar! Just brilliant :) Thanks again, Jane

I finally got out to catch !DAFT! at a venue local to me and settled nicely into their first set, which they kicked off with a great version of 'Take Me Out'.
Graeme (lead Vocals) really knows how to work an audience and wasted no time getting in amongst them! There was some really great playing from all 3 guitarists, who reacted and responded well to Graeme's performance, with some truly fine work on the Queen songs they played. Although they had a Dep drummer in for the night, you would never have known it. There wasn't a beat out of place!
Some stand out songs, for me, were:-
'Don't Stop Me Now' - Queen
'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' - Arctic Monkeys
'Last Night' - The Strokes
'Parklife' - Blur
!daft! certainly know how to get a gig going and keep the crowd happy. A great many bands couldn't pull off an Abba song, but these guys carried it off brilliantly and sent all the woman in the audience into a dancing frenzy with their version of 'Mamma Mia'!
I certainly look forward to seeing them again!

Tuesday 31 May 2011Ah! Cheers Bob, much appreciated and above the call of duty! Nice to have you there and this is a very kind and generous gesture. Thank you on behalf of !daft!

What a fantastically talented and professional band, who made the place come alive - it was rocking. Whatever your taste in music they do not disappoint. I have to say I'm not normally one to get up and dance to a live band - I normally leave that for the nightclubs, but I could not resist and I sang my lungs out to all the songs leaving me a bit hoarse the next day. Graeme is fantastic at involving the audience and the rest of the band are fantastic musicians who make the music come alive, they put their heart and soul into every song and most of all they seem to enjoy it just as much as the audience. I will definitely become an avid follower and hope I get an occasion where I can hire them for a private function. Cheers guys for the best night I have had in ages.
