Dazed'n'Confused [Led Zeppelin Tribute Band, 4 piece]
Keeping the Zep Live!
18 Jul 2018Keeping the Zep Live!
Last Saturday 14th July Dazed'n'Confused had the pleasure of returning to The Old Ale House in Truro to do what we do best, an evening of performing classic Led Zeppelin tracks to a very appreciative audience, who i must say were in fine voice joining in from the opening number 'Rock 'n' Roll' to the very last closing number 'Immigrant Song' thank you all. We must be doing something right and from all your great comments doing it well.As usual none of our gigs pass without some mishap, this time it was our own Hammer of the Gods Norm on drums, bringing the drums in on cue in 'Over the Hills and Far Away' then suddenly stopped! Thinking he had dropped his sticks and would grab spares the rest of the band carried on expecting Norm pick up and carry on, but alas it was his drum stool that had collapsed!! a gallant quick repair then straight into the drum fill where he had been so inconveniently unsaddled. What a trooper! We had the pleasure of dedicating Kashmir to David Conway who we learnt from his brother Alan had sadly passed away recently, he came down from up country to see us at the Old Ale House last year, we had some photos taken with him and according to Alan always spoke of that gig as being a great memory for him. Music has a great way of bringing people together in thought and presence. A lovely chap sadly missed. We had a great review from last Saturday as well, it can be read on our Lemonrock page, comparing us to the original band but also mentioning the great work by Hoby Allen our sound engineer from Cabin Fever Audio who we can't thank enough for his keen ear on an authentic soundscape that we strive for.Big thanks to all at the Old Ale House both sides of the Bar, see you back there Saturday Nov 4th. Keep supporting live music, your venues and bands need you. Luv Ya X
