BIOGRAPHY DEE DEE SHINE – VOCALIST

Dee Dee Shine is a singer with many talents - and a BRILLIANT one too. 'Dee' has recorded and gigged with Steve Hooker http://www.stevehooker.co.uk who regularly works with Levi Dexter, Boz Boorer of Morissey & Wilko Johnson. Dee has recorded and featured on several of Steve Hookers Albums such as 'Leather Soul' and this years (2019) 'The Old Testament of Love'. In addition to this Dee has often been heard on the radio, she's also produced an album after being asked to officially release one of her tracks by Blues Radio UK. Last year Dee recorded with the Internationally acclaimed well known Blues performer & writer Graham Robbins and performed at 'The Bear Club' in Luton.

Dee was the lead singer of a six piece Northern Soul Band from Teeside and was fortunate enough to play some amazing gigs with some well known names. The band were honoured to support Booker T and the MGs, The Proclaimers, The Beat and have also played main stage festivals such as the BBC Stockton Fringe Festival, Grosvenor Casino, the Barney Big Bash, Barnard Castle, Whitby Scooter Rally and many more.

Dee was also the lead vocal for a dynamic and talented Rock band gigging all over the North and North West of England including the Burnley Blues festival, Lancashire Rock & Bike Show, Wigan Live Festival, Cavendish Beer Festival, North West Triples Bike Rally and the MBA National bikers Rally.

Dee has notched up hundreds of gigs and performed all over the uk. She has sung at the Manchester Palace, Lowry & Opera House, and been an extra on Coronation Street, Shameless and even a Bernard Matthews advert (when she had to go cold turkey!).

More recently Dee has performed solo singing her own brand of Northern Soul, Soul and Blues at the Manchester Soul Festival for the last 4 years, various venues in Exeter, Torquay, Bude and Tiverton Theatre and Chagford Festival to name but a few. This year she will be headlining at the “Soul on the Locks 2019” event in Exeter for the 4th successive year. In Feb 2019 this year she hooked up with a bunch of experienced and talented musicians to form a new dynamic Soul band 'Gama Lama soul' where she is lead vocalist and plans a series of gigs across the South West and the UK.
