DeLorean [Rock Covers, 5 piece]

Best day of my summer! Thank you to everyone who was involved in the day! Personal favourite moment was the Delorean band at the end of the evening - wow what a band - and what a frontman! Posted on Croxfest 2013 website 09/09/13

What a brilliant day! And you couldn't have picked a better band to finish the day - Delorean were magnificent! A real stadium rock experience! Can't wait until Croxfest 2014!! Posted on Croxfest 2013 website 09/09/13

Venue Too small, too crowded, too loud, far too good! They deserved three hours of my time but only got one. Brilliant band but hard rock not entirely to my taste. I reckon in a larger venue I would have enjoyed their well engineered sound much more.

Sunday 23 June 2013Thanks Anthony! I'm really pleased you enjoyed us on sat night, even if Hard Rock isn't your first taste. If you fancy seeing us at a larger venue, we are headlining Croxfest on September 7th this year, which is in our opinion the best outdoor family festival around, there were 5000 there last year so come along and see us again! Cheers!

Being originally from the North East of England I was used to watching heavy rock covers' acts in pubs and clubs but since moving down south just over 2 years ago it seemed few bands were doing this stuff so I was glad to discover DeLorean.
With a set of no-nonsense 70's and 80's rock standards, this band even made really old Deep Purple tunes sound refreshing, thanks to their set up including a keyboardist. DeLorean had the Blacksmiths Arms buzzing, so it's clear to see that there is a market for this sort of band.
Every single tune played was to a high standard, but standout tracks on the night were Toto's "Rosanna", Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" and "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who - all very demanding songs for a singer, but which DeLorean's singer made a brilliant job of. Great stuff! I also fully appreciated it when the drummer did a solo. (Again, so few bands seem to do this in the South East, or perhaps I'm just not tuning into the right gigs.)
Another thing that made this band stand out from the crowd for me was their professional attitude. Having seen numerous bands in the area with dreadful PA systems & often no lighting, it was good to see DeLorean making an effort. A good PA operated by a Sound Engineer who knows what they are doing really made the difference.
A final word of credit must be given to the way the band members were enjoying themselves on stage. There's nowt worse than a band looking miserable on stage as though they are waiting to see what's for supper!

Sunday 3 March 2013Thanks Chris! Glad you enjoyed the gig and hope to see you again soon! \m/

"DeLorean made our 2012 industry awards rock like never before. To an audience of over 800, they played a series of classic rock anthem walk-up music for our award winners before taking over and keeping revellers entertained late into the night. Never before has our event had so much energy. We have received nothing but praise for the band. Incredible talent, very professional and genuinely great people to work with. Thank you!"
