DeLorean is a five piece band accompanied by very decent sound guy who pulled everything together perfectly. All five musicians were instrumental in pulling off a blockbuster performance. From a drummer who didn't hit a beat out of time to a bassist and keyboardist that held every tune, DeLorean really are a band without a weak link. The lead guitarist simply gets a thoroughly deserved "wow"! Often, bands with great musicians are ruined by an uninspiring front man/woman. Not these guys! The lead singer had enough passion to get the crowd dancing from the first note. He had great diversity and at one point went high enough to make my beer go fizzy again.
The band started with a sound check, a treat in itself, and gave a great performance of "Summer of 69". I knew once I had heard this sound check I was in for a good night. The first set before the interval was brilliant, my highlights being their rendition of "Knockin' of Heaven's Door" and "White Wedding". However each song in the set held its own and I couldn't choose one I would have left out.
By the second set the whole pub was truly engaged and wanting more. The space in front of the stage was packed from start to finish. The second set was awesome. The best songs, for me, were "I Love Rock and Roll" and the absolutely perfect "Live and Let Die". I would pay to watch these guys.
If you haven't been to see DeLorean you really are missing out.

Saturday 13 August 2011Glad you had a good time and everyone was happy, we had a great night and hope to be down there again soon!

It was a first time for me seeing this band and I love the Horns anyway (my band also play there), great venue, great crowd and DeLorean are a great band!!!! I love classic rock and the lead singer delivered some fabulous notes that some guys could only reach if they had their nuts pinched. Their rendition of Kashmir was amazing as was Knockin on Heavens Door and Don't Stop Believing had the whols crowd singing along. Can't wait to see you guys again, diaries permitting ;o)

Monday 6 June 2011Thanks Chantal! Glad you had a great night and don't worry, we remove the clothes pegs from our singers gentlemans vegetables between gigs! Hope to see you again soon! :)

I hired these guys to play at my 40th birthday party. They came and rocked their socks off, and everyone rocked with them! The set list contained something for everyone from the age of 7 to 70; from AC/DC to Van Halen. When the guys kicked off with Bon Jovi's, 'Bad Medicine', I knew we were in for a good night.
The band's professional approach saw them arriving 2 hours before the party began to ensure the set up and sound checks were done before the guests started to arrive. The first set flowed effortlessly through the various 70s and 80s rock tracks, including 'Pour Some Sugar', 'The Boys Are Back In Town' and Queen's 'One Vision', proving just how versatile these guys are!
After a short break they introduced the second set with 'Black Night', 'We Will Rock You' and Van Halen's 'Jump', which got the whole room up and moving! The mood stayed that way through the rest of the set, with classics like Billy Idol's, 'White wedding' and 'Rebel Yell' . Encores of 'Living On A Prayer' and 'Highway To Hell' finished the night off perfectly.
If you're looking for a band to really get your party 'ROCKING' these are definitely the guys for the job. Check out their upcoming gigs and go and see them. I promise you won't be disappointed!
