DisCover play good-time rock and pop music - songs that you know and can get up and dance to. The band are at pains to emphasise that it's the audience reaction that counts: "when the audience are having a good time, that's when we really enjoy ourselves".Formed in January 1999, the band has been gigging regularly ever since with few line-up changes, featuring a classic lineup of two guitars, bass and drums. For added depth and versatility, the band also features synth and vocal harmonies, to create a sound that is truly their own. From 2017 the band has become a 5 piece, with the addition of a talented and dynamic female vocalist who allows the band to really broaden its sonic palette.The band plays songs that are carefully chosen to appeal to a wide audience, while avoiding the "lowest common denominator" approach. Instead, the band spreads its net as wide as possible, incorporating music from the 50s to the noughties and from a variety of styles, all played in the inimitable DisCover style.
