New Eltham, new gig
17 Aug 2010New Eltham, new gig
Another Saturday, another new venue... last week saw our first ever visit to the New Eltham Social Club. It's another friendly place (we like those) with a crowd who like to get up and dance later on in the evening. Even with a midnight extension they didn't want us to leave, and brought us back for three encores (or was it four - we were losing count by the end!). Here's hoping we get some repeat gigs there soon.
One old, one new

The last couple of Saturdays have seen us return to a well-loved venue, and have our debut gig at another. On the last Saturday in July we played one of our regular gigs at Knaphill WMC (we're usually there twice a year), and once again we had a great time. As ever, the audience reaction was great: dancing and cheering and demanding several encores. Thanks for a great night to all who attended. The first Saturday in August saw us at a new venue - The Salisbury Club in Reading. This is a very friendly club and a joy to play - although numbers were low, those who were there gave us a great reception. We hope we'll get back there, and that word of mouth will do its job...
Saturday night, Sunday morning... gigs
15 Jul 2010Saturday night, Sunday morning... gigs
Last weekend (10/11th July) was a busy one, with gigs on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Saturday saw the band journey down to the Hailsham Club in Sussex for our second gig there. Once again, the appreciative audience made the trip worthwhile.Sunday's gig was a family fun day, so we were glad of the good weather - playing in a gazebo in a field is NO fun in the rain! Fortunately the weather gods were smiling on us for the whole event, which was enjoyable though much lower key than one of our normal gigs. We've added a couple of photos from the occasion to our photo gallery. In a couple of weeks we're back at Knaphill WMC which is always a good time, so take the opportunity to get along if you can.
