DIVING FOR PEARLS are an explosive and inventive 6-piece band of highly experienced musicians, who meld styles, genres and influences into their own sonically rich and full sound. The bands constant search for quality material leads to a unique, constantly evolving and surprising set that gives a distinctly different offering to venues and audiences.

The band was formed by Martin (Big m) Brady (ex European Managing Director of the guitar manufacturing giant FENDER) on lead guitar and Russell (Boy) Jupp on Bass guitar- both half of the highly respected classic rock band Mistreated. Hammond organ, piano and other keyboards, in the guise of the talented Peter Jones has been added to augment Martin's powerful stylish guitar sound to produce a really huge canvass of exciting music. The rhythm section is completed by the wonderful Ian Roy Simpson on drums. Rob Darch and Kevin (the Lips) Courage form the razor sharp brass section.

DIVING FOR PEARLS is an amazing blend of powerful sounds that carry audiences along on a rolling tide of deliciously reinvented classics, fabulous re-discoveries and new and original material.

Having played many of the venues in the South West as well as BMAD, Glas-Denbury, Chagstock festivals, Martin's DIVING FOR PEARLS will be playing some great festivals as well as regular gigs near you soon! Check out this band - they have an amazing sound, an explosive performance.

Peter (Jonesy) Jones - Hammond Organ, Keys and vocals - the 'go to' Hammond player in the South West! (Session Band and many more...)

Ian Roy (Simmo) Simpson - Drums (Black Rose, Bicycle Thieves, Riotous Assembly, State of Mind...)

Rob (Darchy) Darch - Saxophone and harmonica (Jo Ann Kelly, Vanishing Point with Brain Davidson and the Nice)

Kevin (The Lips) Courage - trumpet and Flugel - (Locked Horns Jazz Orchestra, Harry Secombe, Acker Bilk, Roy Castle)
