The Farmer's Boy, St Albans [Pub]
The Generation2 Feb 2014The Generation We had a great gig last night with The Generation. They had travelled up from Bournemouth, to play their first gig in St. Albans. For such young musicians, their talent was unbelievable. One was too young to enjoy a pint at half time! The band consisted of: Daniel Bradshaw on Bass and vocals,Brett Smith-Daniels on Guitar and vocals,Blake Smith-Daniels on keyboards and vocals, and Ben Watton on drums.Their choice of songs was extensive and the sets included "You've Really Got Me" and "Cocaine", plus many other well loved classics, as well as the odd more contemporary number.Well done to they lads, who played their hearts out. Can't wait to get them back! Thanks to everyone who came along!Hope to see you at our next gig, which is with Going Down Slow on Sunday 2nd February 2014 (that's TODAY!) - details on Lemonrock at:http://www.lemonrock.com/gig.php?id=302228Ros
Great gig with Steve Oakham & Gary Sear13 Jan 2014Great gig with Steve Oakham & Gary Sear We had a great gig last night with Steve Oakham & Gary Sear! They stepped in at the very last minute, to play with Den Pugsley, from The Beatniks, after Jamie was rushed to hospital, following a violent allergic reaction to medication that he had been prescribed! Luckily, he is now well on the way to recovery. An unforgettable evening was had by all. The three had never played together before, but they all seemed to instinctively know what the others were thinking and what they were about to play. Goes to show what accomplished musicians they all are!Afterwards, Gary said that he had always wanted to do a gig with Den. Maybe they should think about doing the odd gig as a Trio. They are always welcome at The Farmers.Once again a huge thank you to Gary and Steve. They did, literally, save the day!!Thanks to everyone who came along!Hope to see you at our next gig, which is with The Zipheads on Thursday 16th January 2014 - details on Lemonrock at:http://www.lemonrock.com/gig.php?id=319454Ros
