Not a blogger.27 Oct 2016Not a blogger. No, we're certainly not a blogging band. We're too busy trying to hold down day job each, learn songs, rehearse songs, get gigs and then perform. No wonder we're constantly wiped out.Just like you wouldn't trust a skinny chef, don't trust a band that has time to blog!Anyway, thank you for reading and we hope to catch you at a gig some time.
Play on!3 May 2015Play on! We have to give a big shout out to Ye Olde Mitre Inne on Barnet High Street. The Sunday music sessions there are proving popular and we were thrilled to see the pub so busy on 26 April. The Mitre is a wonderful old pub with great real ales, largers, wines and spirits. The beer garden is a delight and the staff friendly and very good at their jobs.We were a bit apprehensive about playing at the Mitre, as it has always been a pub where people go to chat. However Gary the Landlord knows his customers so well and knew that live music could have a place in his pub, as long as it was pitched correctly. So he decided to put on a relaxing Sunday night of music every week. The pub is small and so the performers range from soloists to trios and every third Sunday of the month is jazz Sunday. This is most definitely a night for those who want to enjoy live music but still chat to each other too. A great way to unwind and a respectful audience that is an absolute joy to play for. Definitely looking forward to going back on 31 May.
