Grouvecat has come of age in this newly formed Free/Bad Company Tribute Band. There was so much energy, feeling & classic music from FOREVER FREE at The Esplanade Club, Watchet last night. From the moment we walked in, we were treated to track after track of classic songs and it was an absolute joy to hear such a great band doing all the tracks that I still love to listen to at home, but never used to get the chance to hear when out watching performing artistes.
Most cover bands would usually strum along to the musical standard, 'All Right Now', without - to be honest - a great deal of passion, but last night, as I stepped through the Esplanade door, I felt like I had just walked into a time-warp straight back into the magical seventies, and - with eyes closed - the excellent guitar riffs & vocals might as well have been from the original Kossoff/Rodgers combination. I am convinced this band is gonna go places: they have the power & the presence required to command any stage at any festival they could ever play at!
If I hold one criticism it's wondering why these stunning musicians aren't making their own music together as well as pouring heart & soul into playing other people's music! In any event, I strongly recommend that anyone reading this should get themselves along to a Forever Free gig to see them for yourselves! Enough Said.

MARK IS a Rock Vocalist! Known for his no-compromise performances that really deliver the goods bringing a powerful raw edge to the sound of Forever Free! Whether singing softer songs like 'My Brother Jake' or harder numbers like 'Mr Big', 'Fire And Water' and 'All Right Now', he makes each song come alive and performs Free and Bad Company classics with soul and style!

KEVIN was inspired to take up the guitar at the age of fourteen after hearing the late guitar legend Paul Kossof, of Free! It wasn't long before budding musicians were inspired after hearing Kevin play the guitar and his fabulous melodic lead guitar-playing makes Kevin the ideal lead guitarist for Forever Free!

ALEX started playing bass guitar at the age of thirteen after being invited to open a dust-covered guitar case which had lain in a friend's attic for many years - a case which contained what was to become his first bass guitar: a dark red Selmer Precision! Alex has worked with some outstanding musicians including Cliff Moore and the legendary Scottish rock drummer Ted McKenna in his band McKenna's Gold!

JOHN is one of the most powerful and inventive rock drummers in the UK! He was in the same class at school with the world-famous session drummer Simon Phillips of Toto and as they lived across the road from each other they spent many hours playing drums together after classes had finished! John played drums for the Welsh band Lone Star and 80's rock bands Lautrec, Megaton, Weapon and Cliff Moore's Heroes, to name but a few! He also had the privilege of playing drums in an audition session for a few days with Ozzy Osbourne's Blizzard of Ozz, featuring the late guitar legend Randy Rhoads, just before Lee Kerslake joined the band as their permanent drummer!
