The Golden Lion, Hoddesdon [Pub]
I have followed this band of 5 friendly guys over the past year and have attended several gigs in local pubs and clubs. They always make you feel really welcome and put always put on a great nights entertainment.
They have a really good song list and play a variety of 60's, 70's, 80's onward's hits, so there will always be songs that you will want to sing-a-long to or get up and dance to.
Last night performance was best so far and I look forward to seeing them perform again soon!Sunday 4 February 2018
Thanks so much for your lovely comments Samantha. We really appreciate your comments and support. Looking forward to seeing you at our next gig.
This was Lost Cause's very first full gig, and the Golden Lion was rammed, from their first number right through to the last track " Rebel Yell" 3 hours later, the band were tight and had the place rocking, the lads got great reviews from many of the punters including the Landlord and regulars.
We were so impressed, that we booked them to do a short set at my birthday last weekend.
great sound and selection, wonderful stuff An amazing performance from a new band, they will get many bookings in the future, book them before it becomes difficult to get them.Tuesday 6 June 2017
i was privileged to hear X-certs for the first time at the Golden Lion on Friday and will now be a follower of this band. Great music variety from Bowie, Madness, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd! To Thin Lizzy and loads more all played with great sound. Definitely worth seeing.

Thanks Debbie we are only as good as the people watching and you guys were great!!! Thanks Again
Saw the Travelling Ding Dangs last night - a proper blues and rock band with great vocals backed up by a driving rhythm section, keyboards, blues harmonica, and two amazing lead guitars performing blues and rock standards from Bo Diddley to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The band's rendition of J.J. Cale's "Cocaine" was fantastic and Bad Company's "Feel like Making Love"also went down particularly well.
Throughout, it was not only the great selection of songs that 'made' this gig but the way the skilled musicians interpreted them making them a great live act during which the lead singer worked the crowd really well resulting in plenty of impromptu audience participation with everyone in the crowd up dancing and singing along, which made for a great atmosphere.
I would recommend anyone who enjoys rock and blues to catch this band live and understand they are playing The Golden Lion again at the end of the month for those who missed out this weekend.
The Travelling Ding Dangs made Friday into a great night I didn't want to end.
