The George III, Hoddesdon
24 Jul 2021The George III, Hoddesdon
The George III in HoddesdonFirst gig back in a pub for a year and boy did it feel good. With new songs rehearsed over lockdown and some fresh bodies jumping around Neville’s new stage, this gig was awesome. Not only that, but Neville’s new toys included cameras and video software that broadcast us to every corner of the venue, including the outdoor spaces so everyone got to see and hear us.Hope to see you at our next gig, which is on Saturday 24th July 2021 (that's TODAY!) at The Plough & Harrow, Harpenden - details on Lemonrock at:https://www.lemonrock.com/gig.php?id=766618Mark

We arrived to a wake that had obviously started a few hours earlier and a birthday party that was in full swing, everybody dressed in tartan. We also noticed a few biker jackets, a KISS Tour shirt and lots of hair, so we pulled out our heavier set which was just the ticket, with Ace of Spades being accompanied by several head bangers at the front. Maggie May got the Scottish group dancing and we had some great crowd vocals coming back at us for Livin’ on a Prayer. We’re always given a warm welcome from this little gem in Enfield - long may it continue.Hope to see you at our next gig, which is on Sunday 17th November 2019 (that's TOMORROW!) at Sundon Park Social Club, Luton - details on LemonrockMark
Joyrider’s new drummer an instant success
29 Oct 2019Joyrider’s new drummer an instant success
Busy weekend, with gigs at the Victoria Club, Aylesbury and the United Services Club, Dunstable and then a full day at Castle Combe, Wiltshire on Sunday with Ian and Jenny singing at a wedding fair whilst Mark talked to couples planning their big days.Gigs are going from strength to strength, with John Shearer, our new drummer settling in and picking up the harmonies. The new entertainment manager at the Victoria was so happy he booked 3 more dates for next year, and we had such good feedback at Dunstable, such as ‘your the best band we’ve ever had here’ and we were interrupted several times during our show to pay us compliments. The dance floor was full all night. We look forward to our next visits to The Vic Club and United Services Club.

Our first gig at the Rivet Sports and Social Club and our first with new drummer John Shearer. A fantastic club and what an atmosphere - everyone stayed until closing time and we had so many people come and talk to us afterwards that we didn’t leave until after 1am. On the strength of our performance we now have 2 future dates booked in so we look forward to doing it all again soon.Rivet Sports & Social Club in AylesburyHope to see you at our next gig, which is on Friday 25th October 2019 at Victoria Club, Aylesbury - details on Lemonrock at:https://www.lemonrock.com/gig.php?id=596470Mark
