Although new to the scene in 2022, “Long Road Home” can boast many years of collective touring and recording experience and friendships going back to the early 80s.Following a tragedy that struck rising blues/rock band “Storm Warning” during the recent Covid pandemic, founder “SW” members, bassist Derek White and keyboard player Ian Salisbury, had a chance meeting with guitarist Steve Summers and vocalist Mike Sebbage, both from recording project “Rien de Faire” and work began on putting together the new band. With the addition of drummer and old mate Dave Norman, the “Long Road Home” line-up was complete.Writing began for the band’s debut album in late 2021 and their first single, the self-titled track “Long Road Home” is due for release in Spring 2023, ahead of a series of UK gigs planned for the spring/summer of 2023.The band has their roots firmly planted in the blues/rock genre but have created a unique style that blends in soulful and even jazz elements to their music, which the band is certain will prove popular with a large section of music lovers.
