The Lucombe Oak, Exeter [Pub]
Just by chance we had been Xmas shopping and walked past this pub and could hear the music so we went in.
I was going to stay for a pint but ended up watching the bands two sets.
They were great musicians and had a brilliant sound and although to start with the audience was a bit thin they still performed well. It was great to see the place fill up by their second set. We look forward to coming to the pub again to see other bands but can't wait to see Datura roots collective again .
Thanks for a great Sunday afternoon gig.

The best cover band around here in my humble opinion. Nina is a terrific singer and Pete a magnificent guitarist.Chris Code, Monday 11 November 2019

Thanks for asking the time to post a review, we really appreciate it and even better that it's a positive one! Glad you enjoyed us and for Keepin' it Country!
Hi, I came along to your gig at The General Buller on the 17th November for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed the music and will definitely be back! The Venue wasn't the greatest and not many people there but we got them up and dancing! I look forward to coming to more of your gigs. Best wishes, Tricia

Hi Tricia. We all remember you and your friends and we thank you for making our efforts more worthwhile and fulfilling by dancing along to our songs. Thank you for contacting us and for your very kind comments. We look forward to seeing you at another gig soon. All our public gigs can be found on our website www.thelateshift.co.uk or you can follow us on www.lemonrock.com.
Kind regards - Ricky.
Walked into the General Buller expecting to have a drink and move on as I hadn't heard much about the Lateshift. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself liking them more and more as the evening went on and my wife confirmed it was a good idea to stay. I don't believe this band has been formed long but they were surprisingly tight and the delivery by the lead singer was something else. With numbers like the James Brown number "I Feel Good" and the Peggy Lee "Fever" within the first few numbers it was what was required to get in the dancing mood. The second set was even better than the first with Let's Stick Together - Roxy Music and Lady Marmalade - Patty Labelle. The dance floor was busy all the through the second set. I found it refreshing to hear the great tones of a Sax as it is not used by many local bands. I have been won over by this energetic band and sure I will be looking out for them in future. I think they will have quite a following before too long.
