Marnie [Acoustic Covers & Originals, Duo]
What a talented pair they Marnie are!
Not only do they perform cover versions which they make their own with their specially written and different arrangements (eg House of the Rising Sun), but they write good songs too. Lost and Found and Find the Words are my favourites (on their CD). Their own work covers many genres - love songs, funky, protest and dance too. Is there no end to their talent?
Marnie has a beautiful voice with a fantastic range, both in pitch and in delivery and always in tune.
Paul is an amazing guitarist playing not only acoustic but also rock, metal and punk with equal competence - I have heard him. He makes it look so easy, he is awesome.
The chemistry between these two shines through - they perform so well together - they are completely in tune with one another!
If you get a chance to see them or book them for a gig, take it. These two dedicated and talented musicians deserve a chance and you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic night. The venue was small and not too crowded. The music was great and just got better as the night went along. There was a good amount of dancing. Really surprised at the variety of songs played and the sheer ability of both the musicians. Marnie's singing voice was really good.

I have seen Marnie a few times now and they never disappoint and Sunday at the Farmer was no exception, fantastic. Marnie's singing range always amazes me, a beautiful voice and Paul's fingers a blur at times without missing a note. Chemistry on stage between them is electric and humour thrown in to, a very natural act.
I had a great night as did my friends and am looking forward to seeing them again soon.

Marnie and Paul combined their own songs with popular covers, intertwined with humour. They made some clever changes to well known songs so pay attention or you might miss a gag!
Marnie has a beautiful voice with amazing range and versatility. I particularly enjoyed House of the Rising Sun where she fully belts out the notes. My God, she can sing! Paul made complicated guitar melodies appear effortless.
Together they made for a very entertaining evening.

If you want to hear something new you must go to a Marnie gig. Brilliant acoustic interpretations of many popular hits or their own original numbers - whichever you like - you will be impressed. The whole set professionally delivered with apparent ease - this girl can sing, and all note perfect. No 'tuning issues' here!
At Paignton Festival my favourite was their special version of Zombie (Cranberries) which is more memorable than the original. My next favourite was their own Find The Words, which is worthy of air-time and general release. Thanks for the gig info on Lemonrock.
