Other strong influences include Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, Taj Mahal, Ry Cooder and Keb Mo.Martin has a very full solo guitar style, merging lead and rhythm playing, and he also plays harmonica in a rack.The solo album, Lately I've Let Things Slide, was dubbed 'British blues at its best'.
