Mr Rainmaker [Covers - various]
Mr. Rainmaker, helped our centre celebrate it's 50th anniversary this was a come back for them having played our AGM in 2015, they were asked back by popular demand.
They have a really good repertoire and this suited the age range at our event between 7 and 80 (ish). After the first couple the dance floor was full and stayed full all evening.
Really recommend these guys for private or corporate events, they will not disappoint you and your guestsSunday 11 June 2017
I first saw Mr Rainmaker in October 2012 at a friends retirement party and loved them! When Bruce & I decided to get married on the 12th October 2013, there was no other band we wanted and fortunately for us, the guys were free. Not only are they great entertainment, their rates are very reasonable too! They have a great repertoire of songs from rock, through to Paul Weller and the Beatles - they are fantastic. They are a tight knit band and it is obvious they have been together a long time and thoroughly enjoy what they do. Not only do they cover songs well, but they are great at interacting with their audiences and kept the younger members of our party thoroughly entertained all evening. Very witty at times too! Guests still comment on how much they enjoyed our evening reception and Mr Rainmaker especially! Thank you for making our Wedding and my 50th a very special night! I would thoroughly recommend this band for all types of gigs but book early to avoid disappointment!

I haven't seen this band for at least ten years and they were good then so I was looking forward to seeing how they performed at The Crown. The first thing I noticed was that th equipment was all top notch stuff - no duff brands with this lot!
They kicked off with Bad company's "Feel like making love" and the sound was well balanced and full with a nice smooth bass. You can tell these guys enjoy playing together: it comes across with smiles on their faces all night! They had the audience smiling all night too at their antics, especially at those times the band invited the odd guest to get up on stage and join them to have a go!
Mr Rainmaker are a tight unit: the drummer was good and solid; the bass warm and the vocals were spot on as were the harmonies. The lead guitarist/keyboard player was brilliant showing great versatility in sometimes playing lead and keyboards at the same time! Nice one.
It was also good to see a band do some 'different' songs for once with numbers from U2 and - dare I say it - "Baggy Trousers!" They even managed to make "A Town Like Malice" sound good!
Well done lads we enjoyed every second. My advice: go and see this band and see what a good band should be like!
