HAYSEED DIXIE
Hayseed Dixie was formed in the summer of 2000 on the front porch of a cabin in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee, when after drinking enough whiskey to float a battleship across the Sahara Desert, it became suddenly obvious to the boys that the "Lost Highway" of Hank Williams and the "Highway To Hell" of AC/DC were the same damned road. The rest of the world first got a taste of the boys on April 17, 2001 with the release of their first album, titled "A Hillbilly Tribute To AC/DC".
The band has since gone on to record 13 further albums containing both original songs and reinterpretations of previously known works, albeit in their own inimitable style. Having sold over half a million albums worldwide and having played more than 1,000 live shows on every continent except Antarctica, Hayseed Dixie are acknowledged as the creators of the musical genre "Rockgrass."

Band onstage at 9pm - Free Entry
The Maida Vales avoid the usual suspect sounds we've heard time and time again. Instead, the band favor the more eccentric tones and feel good numbers of the early Stones, Kinks and the more recent, Dandy Warhol's, Supergrass and The Raconteurs. The bands keen ear for melody, hooks and groove make for a stand out, whistle blowing, fuzz-rock sound. Exploration into the tremendous highs and the bottomless lows of a middle class music nut living in the heart of the concrete jungle. Love and loss, excess and debauchery together with BIG melodies, raucous riffs, driving bass lines and powerhouse blues beats paired with stage antics to match!

The magnificent QUADROPHENIA - the album, LIVE! This production, acclaimed by a Sunday Times journalist as “Mighty, moving and unstoppable,” sees 8-piece band, The Goldhawks, deliver a stunning live performance of The Who’s smash hit concept album, Quadrophenia. Its first tour in 2019 received standing ovations from the very first show.
Released over 49 years ago in October 1973, The Who’s second rock opera ‘Quadrophenia’ was Pete Townshend’s homage to a pivotal moment in British youth culture. The album tells the story of Jimmy, a Mod, by chronicling his dissatisfaction with life, work, love, home, and family life. It served as an ode to teenage angst and counterculture rebellion, as well as a criticism of the British class, economic and educational systems but you don’t need to be clued up on the history of the Mods and Rockers to enjoy this show because at its core, Quadrophenia, which peaked at No. 2 on the UK and USA charts, is just about teenage confusion, conflict and frustration.
Backed with exciting, and sometimes heart-wrenching, large-screen projection of archival footage, the emotions, tension and raw power that the music demands is delivered masterfully by the fabulous, charismatic band, The Goldhawks, with amazing replication of The Who’s sound.
To send you home on an even bigger high there are a few all-time classic Who hits to close the show!

"Back in 1979, pop was getting dull again. Everyone said it was time for a new dance. No-one expected it to come from Coventry. The 2-Tone revolution, led by the Specials, took the pop world by surprise with their infectious mix of Ska rhythms and punk attitude. Madness ... followed close on their heels. Within a matter of months the 2-Tone bands had stolen our hearts and conquered the charts with a non-stop procession of unforgettable hits: 'Gangsters', 'A Message to you Rudy', 'Too Much Too Young', 'The Prince', 'One Step Beyond', 'My Girl' ..."
An extract from Dance Craze by Garry Bushell
On 21st July 1979 at the Electric Ballroom in London, the Specials played a gig with Madness, Dexy's Midnight Runners and Selecter. That's a gig that all 2-Tone rude boys and rude girls would die to see, and thought would never happen. The Specials and Madness on the same bill!
In truth, it will probably never happen now ... but you can get the next best thing!
Special Kinda Madness play a truly authentic set from each band, matching the incredible energy of The Specials with the unforgettable iconic songs of Madness. Producing a show that will have the audience up and dancing from the start, Special Kinda Madness will have everyone hankering back to those exciting days of 2-Tone and Ska.

This is the Modern World. The MOD Cons are a three-piece Jam/Mod tribute band from Saffron Walden in Essex.
The Mod Cons sound is high-octane & up-tempo, reminiscent of The Jam in the pre-Wembley Arena days. No horn sections, no backing singers, and [sadly] not even a Hammond on Town Called Malice. Instead, this is The Jam from the days of 'The 100 Club' & 'The Rainbow', in Finsbury Park. Throw in some 60's Mod classics, some '79 revival tunes form The Chords, Purple Hearts etc, add a handful of Who & Small Faces tracks and you'll have their set

The Wedding Present
The Wedding Present have had eighteen UK Top 40 hit singles… not bad for a band that has, from its inception, stubbornly refused to play the record industry’s game. It all started in 1985 when David Lewis Gedge boarded a National Express coach in London with 500 records packed into a pair of his mother’s suitcases and, in this fashion, delivered the band’s debut single Go Out And Get 'Em, Boy! to a distribution company in Yorkshire. That pioneering spirit has been at the core of the band’s philosophy ever since. From George Best, “an unmitigated delight” [NME], the first full-length release on their own Reception Records onwards, the band has charted an appealing, if often eccentric, course of its very own.

Dreadzone have steadily been releasing albums and progressively bettering, refining and perfecting their own unique and inimitable take on dub since their inception in 1993. Still going strong after nearly 30 years in the game they have also long been and still are, one of the best live bands around.
After having all live shows cancelled or postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, the band played a one-off, high definition, multi-camera stream in November 2020 LIVE from a studio in London. The event was produced by Grammy nominated Rupert Style (Nick Cave, Rhianna) and mixed live by Dreadzone co-founder and producer Tim Bran (London Grammar, La Roux).
Dreadzone are a 5 piece and focussing more on the electronic and dub elements of their show in 2020 – a sound they developed in earlier years of Dreadzone. Their old skool dread sound comes bubbling to the surface on most recent album ‘Dread Times’ which digs deep into their dub and reggae roots whilst still keeping the beats fresh and the textures electronic. Taken from obscure compilations and DAT tapes, the band will release Rare Mixes Vol 1 in December 2020 giving fans the chance to finally own 10 hard to get tracks and forgotten gems, now remastered for 2020.
