Here's a band who do exactly what it says on the tin. The Rhythm and Blues Band play just that -- old-style rhythm and blues -- and they do it extremely well.
This six-piece band are one of the best pub acts I've seen in the last five years -- and boy are they a refreshing change.
The R & B Band are not the kind of act who churn out Mustang Sally or Brown Eyed Girl. They find outstanding material that many members of the audience might not even recognize.
Not only do the band perform the songs brilliantly but there are songs that are fairly obscure but really deserve a wider audience.
The sound quality was superb with the perfect balance between vocals and instruments which made the performance even more.
The musicianship and solos were excellent throughout.
If you run a venue and are looking for a first-class band who offer something different from the average pub group then the Rhythm and Blues Band should be at the top of your list.
