50 Years to the day - The Thin White Duke will be performing at a special all-day event commemorating the first ever Ziggy Stardust show in Tolworth, 1972.
Bowie comes to Tolworth marks the beginning of a year long celebration of David Bowie with the 50-year anniversary of David Bowie performing for the first time as Ziggy Stardust at the Toby Jug, a local venue which used to be located in Tolworth, next to the station.
The event on the 10th February (the exact date of the 50 year anniversary) will have multiple elements, which includes:
An event taking place on the 14:24 train service from Waterloo Station to Tolworth Station – which will be renamed Suffragette City for the day.
A music gig at Tolworth Station in the car park for up to 500 people taking place between 13:00 and 19.30.
This will be a ticketed event and the site will be closed.
THE THIN WHITE DUKE are due to play for around 50 minutes, on stage (approx) between 16.40-17.30.
