WATC are delighted to announce that Slim Jim Phantom, iconic Stray Cats' drummer, will be playing at the Town Hall with his Trio, also featuring notable rockabilly guitarist and singer, Darrel Higham.
As the legendary drummer for the Stray Cats, Phantom, alongside band mates Brian Setzer and Lee Rocker, spearheaded the neo-rockabilly movement of the early 1980s. Slim Jim, with his unique standing drumming style is considered by many as the coolest drummer in rock-n-roll. The Stray Cats sold millions of records worldwide and had top ten hits in the UK with Rock This Town and Runaway Boys. The Trio will pepper their set with Stray Cats classics alongside other rockabilly tracks.
The support act for this event will be The Kopy Katz who recently proved very popular when they played at the Town Council’s rock-n-roll themed party for the Queen’s Jubilee.
