The Rhythm & Blues Band [Rhythm & Blues, 6 piece]
Old Riverport Jazz & Blues Festival, St Ives23 Sep 2019Old Riverport Jazz & Blues Festival, St Ives We played at the Nelsons Head for the Old Riverport Jazz and Blues Festival on Sunday 22nd September. This was our first time at this festival and evidently won’t be our last, as the pub was packed to the rafters when we started with people stood outside on the pavement. The audience were absolutely fantastic as they sang along to almost every single song. At the end of the gig the positive comments came thick and fast, we very very humbled by all of this and thank everyone who turned up to watch our band. Me, as the resident of St Ives I can only thank you all for supporting our band and the Nelsons Head. This gig will stay long in our collective memory and for that I thank St Ives for making my day.Evidently we will be back next year on Saturday 19th September possibly at the Golden Lion.Old Riverport Jazz & Blues Festival in St IvesHope to see you at our next gig, which is on Saturday 28th September 2019 at Buckden Village Club, Buckden - details on Lemonrock at:https://www.lemonrock.com/gig.php?id=728740Alan Davis

A Rainy Afternoon at the Sportsman Bedford9 Apr 2018A Rainy Afternoon at the Sportsman Bedford Sunday afternoon saw us bringing our rhythm and blues spot of sunshine to the Sportsman in Bedford. It was a very wet afternoon combined with a police presence in the area of the venue. They were looking for a reported knife carrying youth. So all in all not a good start for the gig. However, we played and they came, creating a very positive atmosphere for the band and we rocked, evidently so according to the audience. Once again the Sportsman crowd came out to enjoy our brand of rhythm and blues so despite the weather and the police search, we had an appreciative audience and a successful afternoon and they loved our new number Red Tail Light which for its first outing we did play very well. Thank you to the Sportsman
The Chequers Streatley18 Mar 2018The Chequers Streatley The weather was not to good last night with snow fall threatened and both the landlord and the band were concerned that not many people would turn out. However, we needn't have worried as the pub locals turned out in the snowy conditions. The pub was full and everyone enjoyed themselves. This was our first gig at the Chequers and we hope to play there again later in the year. Thank you to every on who turned out and to the landlord for his hospitality. See you again soon.
