Rosie Eade Folk Pixie [Folk-Rock, Solo Artist]
Rosie ("Folk-Pixie") Eade: Singing out her love of folk, rock and thrashing her old nylon strung guitar behind stories of people, places, and gin.Rosie Eade "Folk-Pixie": "An appealing touch of English folk influences ... clear and sonorous", (Bluesbunny, 2018). Inspired by Kate Bush and The Who as much as Steeleye Span, Rosie sings stories of people, places, and gin, written over many years gigging solo around the country, from a party in a field to Glastonbury’s Avalon Café, arranged around her love of folk, rock and thrashing her old nylon strung guitar. Her new album "Folk Pixie" celebrates her roots as a solo acoustic-folk performer with songs from the beginning of the journey to her most recent creations of 2019. "Sonically superb" (BunkFest Main Stage, 2016). "A confident and punchy acoustic rock presence", (Rock-n-Reel, 2016).Likened to the voices of Sandy Denny, Maddy Prior and Grace Slick, she is equally accomplished within the acoustic-folk and old school rock genres. This dual passion shines through in her band album "Battlestorm" (2016) which tells of the many real battles and conflicts, emotional and physical, faced in both our modern and historical lives. Heartfelt stories brought to life by Rosie and her acoustic guitar.STANDARD LINE-UPSoloRosie Eade vocals & guitarDuo+ Lesley Conquest on fiddle, vocalsRosie is available for gigs and festivals throughout the UK as solo, duo or band line-up, and also as a session musician for gigs and recording.
