Ruby Groove - Female Duo [60s, 70s, 80s and 90s Covers, Duo]
Wow! You had 'em dancing from the first minute - the packed venue was dominated by your wonderful harmonies with the backdrop of the incessant rhythms of those nostalgic top-ten numbers from the fifties and onwards.
Experienced performers Jules and Caroline have a musical chemistry which is immediately obvious - the continual eye contact, the gravelly and the sweet voice combining beautifully, the swaying and gyration of those colourful and sparkly costumes amplifying the impact of the music.
Songs that particularly struck me as outstanding were Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer", especially for the "Halfway There" punch-line, the Blues Brothers' "Shake Your Tail Feather" complete with entertaining actions, Ike and Tina Turner's "River Deep, Mountain High" energetically performed.
The Abba medley showed off the girls' singing abilities as they reached those high, long notes, while the superb harmonies in the Ronettes' "Be My Baby" created a really listenable sound.
The high-octane finale included Connie Frances' "Lipstick on Your Collar", Dion's "Runaround Sue", Buddy Holly's "Rave On" and, the one that I was hoping they would include, Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Proud Mary" which started slowly and, as the paddle steamer got under way, became 'full steam ahead'.
More gigs, please - superb entertainment!

Thank you very much for your kind review. It's so good to hear actual words from people who come to see us perform. Just to add, "Proud Mary" is one of our main songs but we had a change of set that night, so left it out!!! Many thanks again and we hop to see you at another gig soon. Jules & Caz x

Many thanks for your kind comments. Caz & I thoroughly enjoyed performing for you. We look forward to seeing you again! x
My wife and I got married on 17th July. The reception venue was held at Abbots Hill school. We wanted someone who could mix with guests and gee them up, we didn't want a boring DJ. Ow my goodness did we find the best act this side of Watford, Caz & Jules just blew everyone away with their brilliant songs and outfits, they were so friendly, they helped people with their karaoke. Their dance routines were so enthusiastic it got people up dancing. They didn't stop from start to finish. When they were singing they walked on to the dance floor and got people singing into the mic which was so much fun. Everyone commented on how professional they were. We are so pleased we booked RUBY GROOVE for our wedding, it just topped the whole day off. I will be booking them again in the near future. So if you want your party to be a memorable one with fun and laughter you need to book these two ladies. Thank you so so so much you made us feel special.
