The Small Fakers were officially launched on a chilly night in February 2007 at a central London shindig attended by fans and associates of the East End's very own fab four, the seminal, sensational Small Faces.
The buzz in the audience that night was intense. Could the SMALL FAKERS even hope to come close to replicating the sound, and the look, of the Small Faces?
Cut to the end of the night and the band have ripped through twenty classic tracks, from Whatcha Gonna Do About It to Tin Soldier with effortless style and swagger, and the audience is almost delerious with excitement, and satisfaction. The Fakers have delivered the goods.
Today, The Small Fakers are established in the Premiership of tribute acts. They have built a terrific international reputation for themselves as the only Small Faces tribute band in the world, and have played to sell-out audiences in Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the Republic of Ireland, and all over the UK. They have played the Isle of Wight festival four times since forming, and in 2008, the day after headlining the festival with his fellow Sex Pistols, bass player Glen Matlock joined The Fakers onstage to perform what many people regard at the Small Faces’ ultimate track, their 1966 number one ‘All Or Nothing’.
The band have also performed with original Small Face Jimmy Winston, who claimed the Fakers were 'much better live than the Small Faces were.' and original drummer Kenney Jones - who also played with Rod Stewart and The Faces and The Who - when he joined the band for a rendition of 'All or Nothing' at Hurtwood Park Polo Club in 2012. He also praised the Small Fakers as being 'Really great, absolutely spot on.' Children, siblings and parents of the original band members have declared themselves Fakers fans too, with Ronnie Lane's older brother Stan even claiming: 'For those who never saw The Small Faces live, The Fakers are as close as you're gonna get.'8.30pm - midnight Info » (Not re-booking)(cancelled 26 Feb 2021)

The Strange Doors is a Doors tribute band that takes you back in time by recreating the sights and sounds of the legends you know and love. This band doesn’t just replicate the studio versions of Doors classics; we actually recreate the live Doors experience. Here you will find ad-libbed poetry, a singer that jumps into the air and writhes on the floor (whilst conjuring the Lizard King with his rich baritone voice), jazzy organ solos, bluesy slide guitar and powerful, yet subtle drumming that punctuates the music and vocals. Like a gig by the real Doors, and unlike other Doors tribute bands, a Strange Doors gig has an air of unpredictability... audiences are kept guessing what to expect next. The singer is completely spontaneous and the band always follow him, taking the audience to places unknown. No version of "The End" is ever played the same way twice. The atmosphere is charged with the darkness and feeling of menace that only Doors music can provide.
The Strange Doors will take you on a journey into the severed garden... fires will be lit and lizards will be celebrated...
Experience the music of The Doors played live and accurately for your entertainment. With The Strange Doors audiences aren't just getting a Doors Tribute band; they are getting the ultimate Doors experience. From great costumes to authentic sounding instruments, Doors fans can relive the psychedelic sixties and step back in time with a Doors Tribute band that looks as good as it sounds.8.30pm - midnight Info » (Not re-booking)(cancelled 10 Mar 2021)
The Julie July Band pay tribute and performs songs from the ‘Sandy Denny’ Songbook, from dreamy acoustic melodies to driving progressive folk-rock. Sandy Denny was one of the UK’s singer songwriters of the British Folk Rock movement. In her brief career, spanning just thirteen years, she left a legacy of beautiful, haunting original compositions and traditional material. Richard Thompson called her ‘The greatest female artist of her generation’. Melody Maker readers twice voted her ‘Best British Female Singer’ in 1970 and 1971. Her most famous song “Who knows where the time goes?” was voted ‘Favourite Folk Track of All Time’ by listeners of BBC Radio 2 and has been covered by many artists including Judy Collins, Nina Simone and Eva Cassidy.
“Brilliant concert. Julie’s voice is fantastic and the band just brilliant. My wife and I loved every minute of it!" (Ron - Bromyard Folk Festival)
“The magic of Sandy Denny brought to life by the unmistakable talent of Julie July...” (Gretel)
"Julie July played a heartfelt tribute to Sandy Denny at the Iconic Troubadour in Earls Court - London " (James)
"Have you heard of this fantastic singer Julie July and her band. They cover Sandy Denny songs and to say they cover them is to them a disservice. They bring life back to the songs...and I am sure if Sandy was still here, she would have loved them." (Ken)
"Great Gig at the Troubadour - Julie July Band with a great tribute to the amazing music of Sandy Denny." (Jon)
"Keep singing Sandy Denny songs...they need and deserve the exposure". (John)8.30pm - midnight Info » (Not re-booking)(cancelled 8 Apr 2021)

Quadrophenia Immersive - Hammersmith Eventim Apollo, February 2016
The 2006 Who Convention* featured the first ever airing to an audience of Quadrophenia as a 4 piece since The Who at Stoke in '73, which led Simon Townshend to declare,
“What an absolutely brilliant band Who’s Who are!”
The Keith Moon Blue Plaque Reception at The Grosvenor Hotel in Mayfair, London in 2009, saw Zak Starkey watch the entire set, completely transfixed by the incredible authenticity and timing of bass player Terry Wyatt; prompting Zak to single him out for the kind of praise that only members of a rhythm section can truly understand, but coming from someone who played with the Great John Entwistle for all those years, reminding him of what he was once used to hearing, all the more memorable.
Who's Who celebrated the 40th anniversary of "Live at Leeds" in 2010, touring extensively and performing the whole of "Tommy" to audiences in the UK and Europe, amid critical acclaim.
Who's Who - Raw Power, Passion and Soul.
That's what defines the members that make up Who’s Who. Their longevity and chemistry together as a unit is unchallengeable - 13 years in a stable line-up save for a new drummer on 2020, the longest ever for any Who type band; and from that comes an understanding of each other as players; much like The Who themselves. Any player will tell you that you cannot buy chemistry, and It serves as a testament to the reputation they have worked extremely hard to cement.8.30pm - midnight Info »

A female guitar prodigy, at fourteen Chantel was told by major labels that she had a "great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that!" Wisely ignoring the comments, she enrolled at the Leeds College of Music and became the first student in the college’s history, to achieve a 100% pass mark, with 18 distinctions. Chantel left with a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music and a coveted prize, the college’s musician of the year award.
In previous years, Chantel stepped out in the pro-musician world and her stunning live performances demonstrated that she had the ability to perform rock for the new age, played by a musician born with an effortless virtuosity. Since then, she has built a loyal and growing fan base who follow her every move.
If you measure an artist’s prospects by the company they keep, then Chantel has been moving in the right direction. Early in her career, Chantel was invited to perform with Joe Bonamassa, on two of his UK tours.
When Chantel released her 2011 debut album, Like No Other, one critic said, “Chantel McGregor deserves to be held up as a messiah of blues-rock and given her own mountain. She doesn't strum or pick her guitar but almost bends and distorts it, as if she's channelling the ghost of Hendrix through her fingers"
The album was produced by Livingstone Brown, whose production credits include Ed Sheeran, Robin Trower, and Shakira. The end result was a beautifully crafted debut album that showcased Chantel’s versatility and talent as a singer-songwriter.
Chantel’s follow-up album, Like Control, again produced by Livingstone Brown, was released in October 2015 to critical acclaim.
All About Rock’s review of the album said:
"The album in its entirety has a common theme running through of gothic imagery which makes it almost a concept album, but each track stands out on its own. Chantel’s double tracked vocals are amazingly tight & the production on this album sounds loose which is a compliment to Livingstone Brown & Chantel who have obviously spent a lot of time on the arrangements. The girl can obviously shred but she does so in a very understated & despite the title of the album, a controlled way. Recommended for fans of blues, rock, Jeff Buckley, Marillion, Big & Rich, Country & Nick Drake. This is a hard album to categorize & pigeonhole which in this day & age of labels & boxes is a good thing."
Planetmosh reviewed the album with the following comment:
"The album is full of great guitar work, but Chantel McGregor isn’t just a guitar player – she does the vocals too and they are equally impressive. She’s got a great voice and the variety of songs on the album allows her to demonstrate a range of styles vocally. It really is a great album."
The single, Take The Power, was playlisted for 5 weeks on Planet Rock radio.
Chantel has recently been interviewed for features on Sky News and BBC Radio Five.8.30pm - midnight Info » (Not re-booking)(cancelled 8 Apr 2021)

We hope you've got the name and if you're puzzled by our game, why not take a look at some of the things that have been said about us, “.... the nearest thing to the real article” was the view of one reviewer who claims to have seen them all in 'The Times', “.... about as true to the originals as you can get” raved another and “Just like the real thing” enthused rock star photographer Gered Mankowitz at his recent private view. Indeed Keith Richards' own mother, Doris, was kind enough to describe us as “outstanding” and fit to “stand in for the Stones” which is about as good an endorsement as any could wish. Well we could go on, but you get the picture, it’s not just enthusiastic fans who rate the Rollin’Stoned so highly, it is the people in the know and those from the Stones' inner circle.
With a Rolling'Stoned show, the costumes are shamelessly camp gaudy and fab, the instruments genuinely vintage and the wit irreverent. However while the tongue is never far from the cheek we make sure it is never to the detriment of the music. This band is not to be confused with the grotesque parody on parody 'Stella Street'-Lite Stones bands that abound, nor a bunch of seasoned old pros, opportunistically hitched on to the “Tribute Bandwagon” for an easy ride. What clearly comes across to audiences seeing the band at work is the passion we all have for the music of what is, cliche or not, "The Greatest Rock'n'Roll Band" the world has seen.
A typical two hour show includes not only all the classic crowd pleasing hits, but is spiced with enough eclectic selections from the deeper recesses of Stones Album archives to satisfy the most demanding of “Buffs”, all performed with the same vibrantly authentic attack and raw energy that characterised the original Stones shows in their prime.
For those who witnessed the Stones - Brian Jones et al - in their hey Day, this is a chance to revisit lost youth, for the rest of you, now’s your chance to see what all the fuss was about.8.30pm - midnight Info »
