We are James and David and we are Schofield! Based in South West Devon, we play upbeat Dance-Pop music on Bass, Guitar and Keyboard with looping Beats.We record and perform our own songs as well as playing hits from artists such as Prince, Chic, David Bowie, Talking Heads, Bee Gees, The Weeknd, Daft Punk and many many more.Our sound incorporates a unique emphasis on bass guitar grooves with funky electric rhythm guitar. In our studio we record and craft drum loops for every song we do which provides the beat that makes our audience want to dance and sing along. To complete our full sound we both share vocal duties and we work hard to make the performance of our cover songs capture all of the vibe from the original hits people are familiar with.This makes us a perfect act for everything from pubs, festivals, private parties/events and weddings. With our drum loops and a larger sound than most other duos, we can even occupy a niche in-between a live band and a DJ set.When writing our own songs, we don't let the fact that we are a duo hold us back. In our studio, we play a range of instruments from drums, synthesisers, flutes, guitars and even a bit of glockenspiel. Our philosophy is to make sure our original songs have a groove with catchy hooks and melodies to impress new audiences upon the first listen. We find this always translates into a positive reaction when we play our original material live.
