Slytherin [Rock / Pop, 4 piece]
We saw Slytherin on the Dart Explorer river boat! Great band with fantastic 80's covers - they got G&R's Sweet Child of Mine spot on. Very much Recomended!!!

Thanks Elena, a first for us on a boat , great fun though .Glad you enjoyed the show.
2nd time I've seen the band, both times in the Coach House over the BMAD weekend ! Never disappoint and again had everyone in the the pub rocking in the aisles ! Something for everyone, even an Abba fan like me !

Thanks Andy, glad you enjoyed the gig , we always have a great gig at the coach thanks to people like you.Hope to see you again.
If you haven't already seen this band you really must make the effort. I'm 54 years old and have seen a lot of rock covers bands over the years (I also play in one) but believe me when I tell you, you will not see a finer band than this.
Individually they are all exceptional. The young drummer just blew me away. The lead singer and guitarist were great front men (oozed rock 'n roll) and the bass player was as solid as a rock. My only regret was missing the first set.
The sound was also 'bang on' for the size of venue. Everything miked-up and mixed to perfection. I also loved the mix of rock classics and disco classics with a rock 'twist'.
The stand out tracks for me were "War Pigs" (everyone joining in like a good old cockney sing song) and 80's electro classics "Don't You Want Me" and "Tainted Love" (so much better on an electric guitar cranked up through a Marshall stack.)
I'll certainly be looking out for Slytherin again next time I'm in Devon. I can't wait to hear their versions of "Build Me Up Buttercup" & "Enter Sandman"!

Thanks Mick , kind words indeed. We love playing the Coach House , which is one of the best venues in the bay. Hope you can catch us next time you're down.
I love this band. They played everyone's favourite songs from the 60s to now and added a rock twist to tunes like Mamma Mia and Build Me Up Buttercup, I am sure even The Foundations would have loved Slytherin's version.
They had the whole pub up dancing being one of the most infectious bands in the bay. If you want to have a great, fun night out go see Slytherin.
The lead singer, Karl ('with a K' as he kept telling us) really does what a great frontman should do and involves the whole audience. He even got down on his knees and sang to a 4 year old girl at one point which was incredibly cute! Karl has the ability to become part of the song, he really is a great showman, and very sexy with it!
Jon on lead guitar would have stolen the show if Karl wasn't such a showman. Jon made all the songs rock and made everyone dance.
This band just make you feel happy, play somewhere in August guys we need to come and see you again!
