The Staddy, Plymstock [Pub & Food Bar]
I've just got back from The Staddy and had to write this review straight away!
An excellent band in a great venue - both are worth a trip to find.
I knew the band would be great when their sound check was virtually two whole songs! I still don't know how one small group can play such a range of covers, and make each one so rocky. It was obvious that they were all talented and enjoying themselves.
I've seen a few live bands over the last year, but only been rocked enough by a couple to write a review. Fighter by Christina Aguilera was virtually as good as the original, I don't think I've heard it covered before so double praise for you guys.
I liked the guitar solo in Sweet Child O' Mine. How did you manage to make Abba sound rocky? Mamma Mia was brilliant and I don't like Abba.
The song list on Lemonrock doesn't do you guys justice, but you successfully covered some standard rock tracks and some less well known tracks - and not all of them were rocky before you got hold of them!
Let me know if you play any gigs in Exeter, I'll be there if I haven't got anything else planned.
