A superb end to the year with an excellent 3 set gig that had the whole place rockin' ... roll on Feb 4th :-)Friday 6 January 2017
Cheers Cliff, always great to see you
What can we say about this band. Four exceptionally talented individuals in there own right. All have been on the local scene for many a year. Put these four together & you have the superb sound that is Rickshaw. It is very rare that you get musicians that compliment each other so well. Highlights of the set would be a blistering version of keep on rocking in the free world where the band can really let loose & show their talents. A diverse set of songs not just the run of the mill covers that you get with a lot of bands. These guys are not afraid to do something different and in their own unique style they can pull it off. Other Highlights have to be a fantastic version of Comfortably numb Terry with a fantastic guitar solo & Mark bass playing & Vocals are a delight. Rays vocals throughout the show are a joy, whilst Phil is a powerhouse on the drums. Would recommend this band to music lovers of all genres as this guy put on one hell of a show. The band have a quality sound set up that exceeds that of any local band that I have come across in nearly 40 years of following local bands. Have to make a quick mention of the CIU club which is a great venue would recommend anyone who has not been there to see a live band to check it out. Thanks Mark, Phil, Ray & Terry for a great show, Shall be looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Rickshaw (Ray, Terry, Mark & Phil)
I was at Stevenage Old Town WMC on Saturday evening with a bunch of friends. We had seen Almost Abba perform a while ago now and really enjoyed it. But Saturdays performance was absolutely outstanding. It was none stop from the off. Opening with Dancing Queen got everyone on their feet straight away. I for one did not sit down all night. The vocals this time were faultless and extremely powerful. The outfits added a fun element to the visual and the whole band looked on top form, smiling and joking and having a great time. This definitely had an impact on the audience. Thank you Almost Abba for one of the best nights I have had all year and I am really looking forward to seeing you again. HAVING THE TIME OF MY LIFE SEE THAT GIRL WATCH THAT SCENE DIGGIN THE DANCING QUEEN - love it!!
