A warm and welcoming Free House which provides 9 hand pull real ales along with a host of lagers, wines and spirits amongst others. Regular music is held in the evenings on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. We have a quiz night on a Tuesday night with a cash jackpot at the end. But most importantly look out for our beer festival held annually in the first weekend of July!Built in 1771 the building was originally warehouses servicing the Trent and Mersey Canal wharf. These were converted into the pub in the mid 19th century. The Swan Inn Stone has a varied history and was finally taken under the wings of the Blundell Family in 1998. Owners of the John Joules and Sons Company since 1991, the Blundells: Brian and his son Geoff, were the first to re-intoduce 3 of the beers, with original recipes brewed under license into the town since the close of the brewery in the 1970's.Now found as a regular feature amoungst a compliment of 9 cask ale hand pulls John Joules and Sons' OLD PRIORY remains as popular today as it has ever been.As the last remaining true free house in Stone, The Swan Inn is a shining beacon for real ale lovers across the nation, many of whom book a weeks holiday in July to fully enjoy our annual Beer Festival.A warm and welcoming Free House which provides 9 hand pull real ales along with regular live music. ---- Warning: this venue page has not been claimed by the venue.
