15 Aug 2022The Terrace, PlymouthThe Terrace in PlymouthSo here we are, at the wonderfully sited Terrace, on Plymouth Hoe and the air temperature is near 30 degrees! ‘Tis boiling and the Hoe is absolutely rammed, with hundreds of people milling around, dozens of swimmers in the water (we are casting envious glances in their direction). Parking is a tad difficult and the carry down the steps very hot work, but it’s such a great venue to play. All set up, with a good crowd enjoying the evening warmth, and off we go - straight away we realise that we should have brought monitoring, the bass is too loud on stage and too quiet off it, and the drums need some help too. We honestly stumbled through the first set and it was a bit of a relief to get off stage. For the second set, we had largely sorted the technical festivals and as a result, we were much better. Thanks to the lovely Mel for booking us, the cold beer was really medicinal! Thanks too to all our friends who turned up - lovely to see you all, even though we weren’t sure if you really came for the food or the view.We will be back…Hope to see you at our next gig, which is on Saturday 13th August 2022 at The Union Inn, Saltash - details on Lemonrock at:https://www.lemonrock.com/gig.php?id=788629Geoff Royall
