The George & Dragon, Eaton Socon [Pub]
Due to my heavy gig commitments it's not often that I get to see other bands but last night,my first free Saturday for a long while, I ventured out to The George and Dragon to see my mate Charlie's band "Crush". What a refreshing surprise I got from this superb five piece(including sax). The musicianship was excellent ,the band was tight and could not be faulted in any department. The music was varied with something for everyone (really enjoyed the Springsteen numbers)and the sound quality was exceptional.Whatever you were paid it wasn't enough! Thanks for the experience and for a great evenings entertainment.Best of luck for future bookings. Bless you mate! Good to see you, as always!!! x
What can I say? It isn't often we get a band in that impress from the first note of the first song but as The Natalies kicked off with Bohemian Like You which is one of my favourites, I was up and dancing.
The Natalies have a powerful sound, with all instruments able to be clearly heard and even have their own lighting which really added to the atmosphere of Halloween - I heard them say they brought their own pumpkin!
Easily the best band I have seen for a long time, the song list has real diversity and is delivered with enthusiasm, energy and passion - they obviously love playing together and seem to gel well on stage.
I cannot rate them enough, if you get the chance to see them then you really should - I only hope they come back as I'll have my dancing shoes at the ready!
