The Stormy Mondays [Rhythm & Blues, 4 piece]
The Hare Inn, Leighton Buzzard

The gig at The Hare Inn in Leighton Buzzard last night could best be descibed as a hollow occasion. No promotion No punters! There were no posters put up even though I sent them 4 weeks prior, not even a scribble on a chalk board to advertise live music in fact when I walked in I wondered if I'd got the right place. Those punters that were in had been there since early doors and were going home before the end of the first set, leaving five for us to play to plus about eight around the other side. Thanks to those that were there especially Adrian who came over from Luton after finding us on Lemonrock and the guy who came over from Birkhamstead who had been to several of our gigs in the past. Our next gig is on Saturday 6th December 2014 at The Oaks, West Hyde. Here's hoping for a better turnout - details on Lemonrock at:http://www.lemonrock.com/gig.php?id=368095Terry

What a fantastic gig it was yesterday at The Hen & Chickens in Baldock.Given that it was only 4 days notice and with only one rehearsal under our belts plus the fact that we had a dep bass player ( Robbie, who by the way was brilliant ) who we only met for the first time.We went down a Storm!( to coin a phrase)and received many accolades from the very enthusiastic audience. Thanks to Gary who blew some blues harp for us on Red house.Who say's Blues is dead?by yesterdays reaction it's very much alive and we look forward to a long and lasting journey. Thanks to everyone who came along!Hope to see you at our next gig, which is on Sunday 16th November 2014 at Hen & Chickens, Baldock - details on Lemonrock at:http://www.lemonrock.com/gig.php?id=361584Terry
