Transporters [Rock & Pop Covers, 4 piece]
I watched them at Porlock festival last night along with all the other bands who were really good but Transporters stood out for me because they played a lot of different songs not just 70s rock like the other bands and finished with Simple Minds who are my all time favourite band so it was a perfect ending to me. I don’t normally write reviews but just looked them up online this morning and saw this with there recording of Don’t you forget and felt I should leave a review to say good I thought you are and especially the singer. I’d recommend anyone to go and see them you won’t be disappointed.Sarah J, Sunday 3 July 2022
Thank you for your generous review. We really enjoyed playing at Porlock and the crowd were great. So pleased you enjoyed our set. You should be able to download our EP on SoundCloud if you want too.
Thank you again
The Band x
I see lot of bands but not heard of Transporters but I saw you in Bar 27 with a nice mix of numbers you seem-like pretty accomplished musicians. You also played my favourite Tom Petty song(R.I.P) and the guitarist solo was excellent & I enjoyed your music very much. You also gave me one of your badges thank you. I’ve joined your Facebook page as well and reviewed . Tomasz.Tomasz P, Wednesday 5 February 2020
Thank you very much for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed the show. We try to keep the numbers unusual but still our favorite songs. Hope to see you there again in June.
I have seen The Transporters a number of times over the last couple of years and have always been impressed with the quality of their playing and singing. They were always very good but they seem to get better and better.
Terrific songs played very well, extremely tight musically and a great sound now they have a dedicated Sound Engineer. Lighting was brill too.
The audience were with them all the way.
Thanks for a great night, guys.Low Note, Sunday 8 September 2019
Thank you Low Note for your kind words. We hope to see you again soon.
I’ve seen The Transporters play lots of times now and each time I enjoy them even more. I used too like Richard the singer when he was in Stuff Stan Likes but I think his new band are better as they play songs you don’t hear many bands playing.
You were great at Rock in the green me and my friends were the ones dancing at the front trying to catch the guitarists eye.Tina, Saturday 10 August 2019
Thank you for your kind words.
We had a great time that night you were a great audience x
These are a talented group of guys playing great covers of well loved rock, punk and indie songs. Full throttle from the opening song to the encore, The Transporters bring their own twist to many of the songs, taking you on a journey with them in the first class carriage.
The audience were fully engaged and loving every minute, dancing and singing along, filling the dance floor to overflowing.
Richard puts everything into his vocal performance and his range is impressive. His singing of Ian Dury’s Sex and Drugs And Rock n Roll was stunning - it took me right back to the heady days of my youth.
A very enjoyable evening. Go and see the Transporters - you won’t regret it.Sunday 25 November 2018
