Charity night - and what a charity night - Vintage and The Accidents... Acoustically the hall wasn't the best and setting up for two bands is always difficult when you only have a gig rig but we did our best to make it right on the night at Tooting & Mitcham Football Club in Mitcham who were hosting the 2nd St Helier Arms Reunion which was supporting Cancer Research UK - i think the number collected reached £750 on the night - so thanks to all who came along and spent their money.

The night was filled with tricks and fun with the six of us all getting involved in a mass mash up at the end of the evening. Thanks to the Two Hound Dogs for asking us to play, it was an absolute pleasure.

Another gig back in early May that needs writing up - we were at the BAWA Club in Bristol - Bristol is becoming ever popular for us and we are back again twice next month...! We're hoping you won't get too bored of us and stop coming out to support us but all seems to be going well presently. We had some lovely comments on our first visit and hit some good numbers on this one so can only image we are doing ok...

All Saints Arts Centre, Whetstone

it's taken me a while so i apologise to anyone who reads these regularly (i think it's only me) but we had a great night at the All Saints Arts Centre in Whetstone back at the beginning of May. We didn't know what to expect, this being only our second visit, but we couldn't have asked for a better turn out. A packed dance floor all night, superbly backed by DJ Colin who kept the floor hot whilst we took a break. It really couldn't have gone much better. We got told to expect call so hopefully it'll be asking us back in 2018. If it is, then we'll see you then :-)

The Grand Burstin Hotel, Folkestone

9 May 2017The Grand Burstin Hotel, Folkestone

We had a great gig last night on Friday 7th April at The Grand Burstin Hotel in Folkestone.

This would have been my second weekender in Folkestone and our first headline slot - but this is now day two since my appendix was removed and i really can't move so again a huge thanks to Kevin Swain for filling in. All comments came back positive and i'm starting to think that my position may be in jeopardy after two cracking gigs with James, Ross and Kevin - no one seemed to worry that i wasn't there :-( It's a real strange feeling as these are the first gigs that i've not played in all the years we have been playing as Vintage. I'm sure normal service will be resumed very soon :-)
