The x-certs are a well-established 4-piece covers band from Hitchin featuring: Ian on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Timber on lead guitar & BVs, Nick on bass & BVs, and Dave on drums. We pride ourselves on quality musicianship, a warm and balanced sound and a varied set covering new wave, art-rock, power-pop, classic rock, and mod/ska, all from the 60s to early 80s. Our set list reflects our own record collections so we are passionate about the songs we choose. We are friendly people, we love playing live and we do it with conviction and energy. We have our own lighting rig and PA system and can cater for pubs, parties and festivals. We can also supply DJ services for parties/functions by negotiation. The first video below is a compilation from a recent gig so you will get an idea of the kind of set list we play - these clips are all filmed on handheld cameras so the sound quality is not necessarily as good as you'd experience at a live show.
